Wet under hoof and boot but some sun overhead.

From a generous meet for which we thank our hosts a good-sized Wednesday field set out across the day's country which is rarely dry even in the summer. Again we have our hosts to thank for allowing us access despite conditions under hoof and foot.

Several times during the day spirits were further raised by the music of hounds owning the trails and the sight of them "all-on".

For the mounted folk there was the opportunity to leap a ditch and for the wheeled-field some careful driving to avoid ending up in one.
