To Absent Friends

The valley has always been a favourite Meet and yesterday was no exception with hoards of people enjoying the spring weather and "end of term" spirits.

Many people enjoyed a terrific breakfast in the lodge before the Meet and there can be no doubt that dear David would have been delighted to see the hunt staff, Masters, subscribers, followers and supporters in such good spirits. He was certainly with us in spirit. A huge thank you to "A" and her team for a super hunt breakfast.

With the majority of the mounted field staying out until the very end it was  terrific day.

What to do now - reminders from the last post

The Hacking Harriers will be out from next week - please contact K if you would like to join in with these fun rides through the summer.
The East Kent Ruby Ride (23/4/17) is always deserving of our support - entries and offers of help may be made by clicking HERE  This will be the fortieth ride.
Similarly don't forget our Point-to-Point at Aldington on Easter Monday - details and offers of help HERE

Speaking of the Ride - here is the quality control team checking that the fences work properly after their annual maintenance.

The Gather are also considering creating a glossy magazine of photographs from the season - much like the Calendar but with many more images. Again, please let us know if you might be interested.

Grooming is essential
